Despite T3’s Gadget awards being sponsored by Garmin – TomTom were the talk of the voters, winning the coveted ‘Gadget you can’t live without’ award with their GO 930 model GPS system. In the readers’ vote, it out ranked Apple’s headline grabbing iPhone, and the notorious Nintendo Wii!

With over 54,000 votes cast in the 2nd Annual Garmin T3 Gadget Awards it seems that, when it comes to indispensable gadgetry, a reliable and practical sat nav is top of the list.

The GO930 has been praised for its ease of use, innovative features and clever finishing touches; such as recordable voice commands and a handy built-in help guide. As we’ve said before in our reviews, TomTom really have gone out of their way to listen to their customers, and make a sat nav that prioritises usefulness over gimmicks.
