Following in the footsteps of theaa.com and Google Maps, TomTom have launched ‘TomTom Route Planner‘ online route planner. However, in their typical innovative style, TomTom’s version will be the first online navigation aid to include live traffic information, via TomTom’s HD Traffic system, as well as 500 billion historic speed measurements of roads across the world, through IQ Routes.

This should give much more efficient routes, and accurate time estimates for journeys than the current online planners on offer.
